Lady Gaga Performs on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

Lady Gaga has become a worldwide phenomena unto herself -- people want to look like her, dress like her, even be her.  But there will always only be one Gaga, and she has five Grammy Awards, 12 million Twitter followers and more than 25 million albums sold to back her up.  So what is the popstar's claim to fame?  In an appearance onJimmy Kimmel Live Thursday night Gaga commented, "I think the reason ... is that I'm not very good at listening in life."  I think what the iconic singer is trying to say is that she never listened to others when it came to her goals.  She was true to herself and true to her music by never letting the outside world get to her, which has become the key to her success.  And boy has it worked in her favor.

While Gaga prides herself on being a woman of mystery, she did divulge a few fun facts about herself on the show such as: she's great at cooking "gravy" (i.e., tomato sauce); she'll record music on her tour bus if she feels inspired; and that she's known to cook pasta for her crew while chain-smoking cigarettes (bet those sauces have quite a kick to them).  Later in the interview, Jimmy Kimmel asked the Born This Way singer, “What if one of your children grew up to be not gay; Would you still love that child?”  Gaga, who is a strong, passionate advocate for the Gay community, jokingly responded, "No," as the audience laughed.  Oh Jimmy, such silly things you ask.

During her appearance on the show, the singer performed her singles The Edge of Glory, and You and I.  Check them out below, as well as our exclusive photo gallery that we compiled lived from the taping:

50 Cent Is Angry Interscope Records Won't Release His New Album

50 cent50 Cent has long been talking about the release of his fifth album, which used to be called Black Magic. In May of 2010, he told reporters that he was inspired by how club music had made the shift from hip-hop beats to more dance music and that his new album was going to be a combination of those two styles of music. He said, "I went to a nightclub afterparty. It's a little different music going on before I got there. They play your music when you come. But the music they played before they started playing a lot of what I created was more uptempo, more dance. I wanted to make a song like that..." But then in November of the same year, he announced that after recording 20 songs to reflect the aforementioned "whole different album concept," he put them aside and decided his next release would be called Detox and promised that it would be the "2011 GET RICH OR DIE TRYING." But the hardships were still far from over.

This past June, 50 announced on Twitter that he and his record label, Interscope Records, disagreed on the best way to unleash the album and that executives had decided to postpone its release until a common ground was reached. He said "Ok I tried to be cool with my record company. I went to the meeting to talk to everyone and sh*t feels like there [sic] moving in slow motion. I'm sorry to announce I will not be releasing a new album this year if we don't get on the same page. I would rather not launch my album with out a plan the whole system is executing. I don't know why they play me when they know how I get."

Problems have continued all the way through Wednesday, and 50 announced on Twitter that he had chosen to raise the stakes and put pressure on Interscope to come up with a plan for Detox by threatening to leak Dr. Dre's single off the album. He said, "Man I'm not releasing an album. I can't believe Interscope is this f*cked up right now. I apologize to all my fans. I love Dre but I"m putting his next single Psycho out tomorrow at 2:00. You're gonna love it. It's a big song. I just don't think it deserves a great setup since they can't seem to get it right when it comes to me."

It doesn't really make sense that in order to promote his new album (that the record company won't release), 50's plan is to pick a song on it that he suggests is the least likely to result in listeners' enjoyment and release it. It doesn't appear that 50 actually followed through with his threat, which almost would have been the smarter choice because now he's nothing more than on the verge of looking like a has-been who's begging for a comeback

The Daily Shuffle: Kat Von D Disses Herself

  • After Kat Von D stormed out of an interview with an anchor from Good Day L.A. for mentioning her split from Jesse James in the introduction to his segment that was supposed to promote her TLC show L.A. Ink, she wrote on her Facebook that she was disappointed in herself. She wrote, "Most of the time I'm good at rolling with the punches when things don't go 'as planned.' But somehow, I allowed today to get the best of me. None of this happened over night and I guess most of the time it doesn't. But we are all master of our own reality and whatever is 'happening to me' is no ones [sic] 'fault' other than my own." - Kat Von D's Facebook page

  • Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton had dinner last night at Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Los Angeles, and they each brought their sisters. Nothing broke, nobody died, and California didn't break off into the ocean (sadly). - Daily Mail

  • Lady Gaga announced yesterday that she plans to release a coffee-table book on November 22nd that will feature more than 350 photos that famed fashion photographer, Terry Richardson, took of her. Publishers Weekly reports that Jamie Raab, executive vice president of Grand Central Publishing, said "We are proud to be publishing this remarkable collaboration between Lady Gaga and Terry Richardson and anticipate that it will be one of the most stunning, provocative and coveted books of the 2011 holiday season." I wonder if upon purchase, you get a free vial of her perfume that was inspired by blood and semen.

Kim Kardashian's Wedding Invitation and Date Revealed

kim kardashianEarlier this year the world had Royal Wedding Fever.  We couldn't get enough juicy details about those royalty nuptials, leaving the tabloid magazines in a feeding frenzy.  But now it's time to obsess about another wedding -- Kardashian style.  The wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries is shaping up to be quite a fancy affair.  We've heard about the Bachelor/Bachelorette parties, thought about what the dress will look like, wondered who will be invited to the jovial event and now we FINALLY have some answers to our many questions.

The wedding will be held on Saturday, August 20th in Montecito, California.  TMZ has even been able to get their hands on a copy of the actual wedding invitation (mine must still be in the mail somewhere).  So far no specific times as to when the ceremony will begin that day have been revealed, but it clearly states that it is to be a black tie affair.  Well yeah, we would expect nothing but pure class from this bunch.  Especially with Kris Jennerrunning the show.

So where will you be when the reality star and NBA player tie the knot?  Mark your calendars now!
